Rainbow Tag!

Hi!

I've seen this tag on various blogs and YouTube channels and I thought it would be fun to do my own.

Now, all the ones I've seen have used the rainbow I can never remember (you know the one with indigo in it) so I am going to do mine on the good old fashioned rainbow song we all learnt as kids. All I have to do is tell you my favourite products that correspond to each colour of the rainbow.

Ready ...... Lets do this!

Red

I chose this as it really does create volume in my hair. It is not sticky as I find some mouses to be. I tend to use this on wet hair before curling it and it really helps hold the style.

Yellow

This lip scrub is amazing. I am addicted to the taste and it leaves my lips so soft. My lips can get quite dry but I have been using this every morning and it has worked wonders.

Pink

Following on from the lip scrub, for pink I HAD to pick this lip butter. I only recently discovered it and I can't believe it has taken me so long to find it. It smells sooooo good and it leaves my lips really moisturised. I highly recommend this.

Green

I know the lid is the only thing that's green but to be honest I was struggling with this colour! This make up remover is really good. It gets rid of my waterproof mascara without me having to scrub my eyes.

Purple

This is a new product to my make up collection. It is the Elf mineral eye liner in metallic purple. Usually I shy away from strong colours on my eyes but I love using this as I can add just a pop of colour without feeling like a clown.

Orange

What else could I have chosen?! This is in the colour satsuma and I love it. It is such a summery colour and looks even better with a tan. The formulation of the hi shine nail polishes is fantastic and I am rapidly building up my collection.

Blue

This has been my go to night cream for years. It is quite thick but I love that as it feels like it is really nourishing and moisturising my skin. I have quite sensitive skin when it comes to face creams but this one has never made me break out.

I really enjoyed doing this tag so if you know of any others I can do please leave a comment and let me know!

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

Hi!

This weekend saw me and the Mr take the 4 hour drive up to the Lake District to visit my Mom. My Mom and Dad moved there about 10 years ago. Sadly my Dad passed away last year so my Mom now lives there with the other man in her life, her dog Leo.

As it was a lovely sunny morning we decided to go on a trip to Seascale which is about a 20 minute drive from my Moms house. There isn't much there but what we went for was the beach.

As soon as we got out the car Leo just wanted to run in the sea. As he can't go off his lead (the bugger refuses to come back!) my Mr decided to take off his shoes and socks, roll up his jeans and run in with him!

About 10 minutes later and with the Mr's feet in tatters we decided a walk along the beach was needed. Leo saw this as the opportunity to dig. Now, water + sand + fluffy dog = mess!!

After an hour of chilling at the beach it was time to head back to get Leo dried and let him nap. It's tiring business digging don't you know!

A lovely time was had by all and great memories were made.

We have lots of plans for when we go back up so let the good times roll!

I wish I owned. ........

Hi!

There are not many things that I aspire to own apart from the obvious (a detached house and a fiat 500 to name a couple) but there are 2 items that I would love to own.

The first is a classic Chanel handbag. I think they are timeless and would last a lifetime. I'm not really a handbag kind of girl but there is something about this bag that makes me want it in my life.

The second is a Alexander McQueen skull scarf. I know there are plenty of dupes on the high street and normally I am the one that will scour the shops to find a cheaper option but again, there's just something that makes me want to own it.

I am not one that needs to be dressed in designer clothes and use designer accessories. These 2 items are my exceptions.

So along with the house and boat in Venice and the apartment in Tenerife, not to forget the detached house and the fiat, I have either got to win the lottery or start saving hard!

Well, every girl's got to have a dream .........

Tenerife

Hi!

I have just got back from one of my favourite places in the world, Los Cristianos in Tenerife.

Me and the Mr go there at least once a year and one day hope to be able to buy an apartment there as we love it so much.

It has lots to offer everybody. It is great for couples of all ages, families and groups of young people as the more rowdy Las Americas is only a short taxi ride away. We have always had really good weather and last week was one of the hottest we have had. Thank god for the pool is all I can say!

There are plenty of places to eat, drink and be merry. And if I can find plenty of places (I'm a very fussy eater) then you can imagine the quantity around.

The beach is beautiful. It is man made with sand from the Sahara desert so it doesn't come much better in my opinion. There is nothing I love more than to just lie back with a good book and feel the sun on my bones.

As well as the beach there are a number of excursions that you can go on. In the past we have visited 2 water parks, the monkey sanctuary and gone dolphin and whale watching. There are still lots of things on our list to do such as off road jeeping up the volcanos and visiting Gomera which is a tiny island very near to Los Cristianos.

The shopping is great as well. There's plenty of perfume and clothing shops. And my favourite jewellery shop is located right in the centre. I always come back with at least 2 items!!

So, after missing the place already, I'm off to sell all of my worldly possessions in the hope that the apartment will be ours one day ......

Am I the only one?

Hi!

I have a question for you. Is it just me who hates packing?

I will put it off until the last minute and then do it as quick as humanly possible.

Now this is packing for anything. Holidays, moving house literally if it has got to be packed I'm going to hate it.

I have just had to pack for a week's holiday and to be honest with you I have probably not packed everything I will need just because I wanted it over and done with.

Some people really enjoy it and some even see it as the start of their holiday but I find it a pain in the ass.

So I will just live in hope that when I open my suitcase on holiday I will have packed for sun and not as if I am going to the Antarctic.

Keep your fingers crossed!

Much love
